Default Hemp Shake

I have discovered the wonders of hemp milk. Here's my recipe for an extremely delicious, low carb shake.

1 cup of hemp milk (only 1 carb)
1-2 scoops of protein powder
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
2 cups water
1 teaspoon of toasted flax seeds.
Ice

If you've never tasted toasted flax seeds, you're missing out on a fabulous, low carb, high fiber, full of omega 3 treat.

Hemp milk has a wonderful buttery flavor and more calcium than milk.
I put all the ingredients in my Ninja and blend.

Industrial hemp is a legal product often used as a textile or as an amendment/reinforcement for other materials (plastics, fiberglass, etc.). Hemp seeds can be used the same way chia or flax seeds are used. Though "pot" is botanically related, here is no "pharmaceutical" effect to industrial hemp.

Besides, isn't one of the side effects of partaking of the "other" hemp a desire to munch on everything in sight? Probably not best for those of us watching what we eat. lol

Usually it has to do with the strain and combination of canniboids that are in the product. There's plenty of varieties that don't give you the munchies.

As there is a legal pot industry in Canada the variety of strains, description of said product, effects etc ... is all there at the government licensed pot stores.

It's become a very lucrative industry north of the border and I must say - it feels very strange walking in to the store - dealing with a friendly counter person and leaving the store without worrying about getting arrested or thrown in jail.

There were a lot of naysayers declaring the sky would fall - but that never happened.

Wow. You sure seem to know a lot about marijuana...

Oh.

Seriously, I've never partaken. Never even been drunk on alcohol. Just not experiences I had to have. I do find the "reefer madness" that surrounds products like food-grade hemp and CBD oil rather amusing while people get legally buzzed on Sunny Delite and Twinkees.

Yo, Folks.....there is nothing illegal or hallucinatory about hemp milk. It comes from the hemp SEED and not the part of the plant that makes you high.

I bought it in the grocery store. smh
