Default Change is good

As well as feeling better than I have for years (bipolar mania excepted) I have realized the unquenchable thirst and cotton mouth have died back a LOT. I am not sharing my glucose levels yet, they're still a bit embarassing, but down to single digits since a high of 32 mmol/L.

I am hoping for a publishable result tomorrow morning.

Congrats on your progress! The changes in the beginning can be so dramatic, I recall wondering how it was that I became accustomed to that thirst, constant peeing, etc. without questioning it. The frog-in-the-pot-of-boiling-water syndrome

Those initial changes can be so inspirational. Glad to hear you're on the road.

Hi Dave ~~

Yeah that cotton mouth ugh, and I can't believe we were putting that to other causes (new powerful A/C) -- but it was the first to go, thankfully.

Don't be ashamed of your numbers. You didn't become a member of this club because of your stellar BG And when you start high it takes a while to get the numbers down, especially if you are not on insulin.

I'm so glad you are feeling better.

Davo, my friend - if you're in single digits you have absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about! You've made an amazing turnaround and you deserve all the accolades. Keep on keepin' on!

Thanks lovely people

Okay, this morning's fasting sugar level was 7.0, one tenth below the nasty 7.1. Its CREEPING down on diet and 500mg Metformin.

For some reason I had a very uncomfortable night last night. Tingly feet and hands, difficulty getting to sleep, feeling a bit stressed.

But it might have been psycho somatic to a degree, and/or forgetting to take my antipsychotic (which aids sleep) plus yesterday was my first full day tobacco free. All of these may have contributed. Looking forward to a better night tonight.

Cheers
