Default legs aching

My legs hurt /knee to ankle// its more annoying than painful,, but they do hurt.

If they LOOKED like they FEEL they would be swollen to twice their size- they arent.. I looked up every med , vitamin and mineral I am taking - saw no symptoms mentioned to explain this..
also-- keeping a close eye on my sodium, a very close eye cause by now ya'll know I am OCD about these things.. lol

any idea what could be making this happen?
all other bodily issues- bg/bp//bowel/digestion-- A' OK

legs hurting now- especially in the evening hours-- 5 to 10pm

any help is much appreciated..
Sonny

Are you on your feet all day? Do you do any walking or running exercises? Have you ever had a problem with fluid retention?

My hip has been an issue for a couple of years but without insurance I am mobile as much as possible while I wait to hit 65 and on medicare..
so only normal daily activities around the home is my activity.

during my old eating days-before the big D ) ankles would swell some but I know for sure my sodium intake was high~! I prefer salty over sweet.. Since LCHF I am really watching my sodium intake in food and drink.

there is no visable swelling but my skin feels to tight, like it might pop..

I was thinking that it may be shin splints, some runners get this from the force of running for long periods. I would recommend seeing your Dr. to be on the safe side, he or she could check your veins, blood flow, pressure to and from your feet.

If you press your fingers into your leg and then remove do you feel a difference, see a difference, see a depression that takes a while to get back?
I second going to the doc

yes Donna, last evening I did that... pressed -skin , natural pink tone returned almost immediately.. not the full 1 minute white finger print

then I go in good lighting of kitchen and had my daughter press harder, same as above-- no depression print- pink returned in about 3 seconds.

I think this is the reason it concerned me so much on top of the fact it Hurts lol.. absolutely no visable signs of fluid build up or edema..

I just came in from getting the mail and spoke to a neighbor for a few minutes who's mom has been type 2 for 15 years, so I mentioned whats happening with my legs. She said, yea her mom had that and was told to drink- 3 cups of very warm/but not hot// water with a 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon in each cup= sip slowly.. so heck- that would be an easy healthy fix if it works. sipping my 1st cup now.
I'll just have to cut these 5 or 6 carbs from the lemon somewhere else in my food plan..

thanks so much, I'll be back to let you know if this helps at all or if it doesnt..

If you're not getting a dent after pressing down hard, it's not fluid. I would still highly suggest seeing a doctor and having your veins checked, deep vein thrombosis, hardening of the arteries, neuropathy, any number of things and it's best to have it checked out sooner rather than later.
