Default Blood pressure versus blood sugar

I am noticing this really weird pattern lately with my blood pressure and blood sugars. When my blood pressure goes really low, my sugars go up and vice versa. There seems to be an inverse relationship.

I never had high blood pressure until my recent surgery and the blood pressure shot up and never came down enough. I do have some kidney damage from the antibiotics that seems to be slowly resolving, but I went on Lisinopril to manage the high BP so they wouldn't be damaged further (hoping to come off at some point).

I am taking the Lisinopril at night before bed. I am wondering if that is contributing to my high morning numbers. Could low blood pressure signal the liver to send out glucose? Should I switch the time I take the Lisinopril? Any one have a similar issue?

I never noticed noticed any patterns like you're describing. I'm on the lowest dose of HTCZ (commonly called a fluid pill). When I 1st started on LCHF I was on that and Cozaar for high BP. After I got working on my BS and added in a lot of walking, my A1C, weight and BP started lowering. It all takes time to start falling in line but I was so focused on my BS that I don't really know when my BP started going to normal.

I am hoping when I can add back in walking the BP will resolve itself. I do monitor several times a day, but I'm also not sure what is a too low BP. Right now I'm on restricted walking until my incision (toe amputation) totally heals - almost there. Also, I have othopedics and shoes I'm waiting for. Hopefully then I will be cleared for more PT and back to walking again.

Low 80s over low 60s don't seem to upset anyone, in my experience.

As long as you can stand up, and walk around, with that pressure, you are good to go.
