Default Hypo event

I am type 2 and on Xigduo. The other afternoon I had a hypo event that freaked me out cuz I never had one since being diagnosed with type 2. I ate a normal lunch salad and a small soup at around noon. This event occurred about 2:30. Does anyone have any idea why it happened? Thanks.

How was your fluid intake that day? Were you well-hydrated?

(For others reading this, Xigduo is sold as Farxiga in North America.)

I was probably not well hydrated. I know I need to drink a lot more water.

Also, Xigduo is a combo drug. It contains Metformin XR and Farxiga. The benefit is I only need to manage one drug rather than two. However the Xigduo is a giant pill, not the easiest to swallow.

Sometimes when we first have normal blood sugars after being high for a period of time, it FEELS like we are experiencing a hypo, even when we're not. At least it did for me....
