Default Metformin and Multivitamin

I started taking a multivitamin and I've had an upset stomach. I've read that some people have stomach problems taking certain multivitamins while taking Metformin. Has anyone else had this problem?

My instinct says to check the label for some sneaky carbs. I know some brands use some forms of sugar or artificial sweetener to make their pills more palatable.

I hadn't thought of that. I work with a guy who had the same problem. He switched to Centrum 50 and has had any problems.

I've always been better off when I eat shortly after taking my Met-and-multi. Even before I was taking Met, mutli's were likely to upset my stomach without some kind of food (tea or not-fatty-coffee did not count, but Bullet Proof coffee is fine).

I take my multi and Met at the same time, plus extra B12 just in case because of the Met. Haven't noticed any extra problems.
