Default astaxanthin to protect beta cells?

Astaxanthin & Diabetes | LIVESTRONG.COM

Anybody have experience with it?
Im taking it 4mg once a day.

Just curious if any of diabetes friends here also know about this.

I've never heard of it, but if it keeps your bgs low, keep taking it. I do take CoQ10 and Krill Oil and do a pretty low carb diet. I also take 2550 mg of metformin which keeps my bgs close to 100 or under.

moderate exercise- mostly walking 3-5 miles, tennis - 4 hours per week, weight training, hiking on weekends and vacations 7-10 miles
