In all my years as a Type 1, I've only found one good doctor. He was fresh out of med school and he worked with me to transition from a one shot a day of Lente insulin to a Basal/Bosul Insulin approach. It made a huge difference to my BG levels. That was about 26 years ago - unfortunately he went back to school to take Pediatric medicine - very unfortunate.
I suspect my current doctor who I tend to frustrate when I do see him , because I never do what he tells me - will retire soon. Hopefully my next doctor will just leave me alone.
Sounds like this is a common problem with everyone regardless of what region of the country you live.

i had a nice chat with my doctor today. i told her what i wanted to do with the LCHF and Intermittent Fasting. And she said she would adapt my INR testing requirements where I could tell the INR clinic sounds like they didnt want to deal with it.

Then she broke into a 'find your own way' speach which is just great because i really wasnt in the mood to argue with her.
