this is a good guide on using lantus. I take one shot lantus 24u at 7:00am which is a little aggressive but i would be fine with 20u once daily.

In My Opinion: There is No 24-Hour Basal Insulin - Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution. A Complete Guide to Achieving Normal Blood Sugars. Official Web Site

Exercise in the evening. That time I hit leg press real hard, last week, I had lower sugar for days but I certainly had lower morning number the morning after, a shaky hypo.

Whenever you add exercise into the mix, you need to monitor your blood sugar closely.

I read that some type 2 diabetics split the dose, half at night and half in the morning.

How does that help? What are the benefits?

Thanks all
Hi, how do you currently keep track of your doses?
