Default Levemir: Can I take this 3 times each day?

I am a type 1 diabetic taking a split dose of Levemir at 8am and 8pm. I also take Novolog for all of my meals.

The problem I find is that the Levemir only lasts around 11 hours. My blood glucose goes up 11 hours after my morning dose. My idea is to try splitting my daily dosage of Levemir into three injections: 8am, 3pm, 8pm

How else can I do this? I did an online search for this topic and found a few other people with the same issue.

BG, talk to your doctor about getting on Tresiba. I take it once a day and seems to last longer than the Toujeo, Lantus, and Levemir that I've used.

Most all of us are not doctors...and something like this really needs a doctors input. Those who share your Type 1 and who take or have taken this insulin can share their experiences, but beyond that is probably best left to your doctor...

Good luck
