Default Here are my BG levels today!

Please allow me to brag about my near normal BG levels observed today. Glad to say that this is after nearly 7 years of type 2 diabetes diagnosis. Whatever I am doing seems to be working for me - portion control, exercise, Metformin, and whatever else.

I don't check my BG very frequently nowadays. I pretty well know what to expect. However, last night I decided to do a thorough BG test and chose today as the day for it. Today I was free of all meetings at work (rather unusual for me) and would be able to sit at my desk whenever and for however long I chose. So, I pricked my fingers several times and the results are shown below in an Excel sheet converted to jpeg picture. The numbers shown within the yellow background have been plotted beside the chart.

Breakfast and lunch were typical medium carb but frankly, I haven't weighed my food and counted carbs for quite some time now because from past measurements I know that I eat around 180 g of carbs a day.

It may be noticed that the peak BG after lunch occurs at the 2 hour mark, not at the 1 hour mark. Some days it is like that - the peak BG after lunch occurs at around 2 hours after food. One reason may be that I embarked on my 50 min brisk walk immediately after lunch which may have caused some delay in digestion. (Our Yoga teacher is on vacation, so I walk during the lunch hour instead of doing Yoga.)
