Default Light Headedness

I just wanted to know do any of you out there feel lightheaded and sometimes you forget what you are doing for a minute? I do. How do you handle it? Sometimes I feel like the room is spinning, just alittle or I get off balance. Sometimes I sit at my desk and can not concentrate, I get a little confused for a minute. Just wondered am I the only one that goes through this. Thanks.

I hope you're testing when these episodes hit you. First find out if you're high or low - that will surely shed some light on it for you.

When my BG level ski rocketed over 300 I was a walking Zombie. I was so lethargic, brain fog, lack of concentration, you name it, I was sick. As Shanny has said, have you checked your BG level, be the first thing I would do.

I have recently lost 30 pounds. Before that my levels would get up to 500. Now they get about 290. When I take my meds, my levels crash down to about 65. I wake up in the middle of the night sweaty and hot. I feel dizzy. I run to the fridge and get whatever is sweet and try to bring my levels up. I don't know what is going on. My vision still gets blurry so I know that my levels are off track. All I want to do is lay down and sleep.

You need to get off the BG roller coaster. What meds are on, whats your diet like.

I am on Glimepiride twice a day. 4 MG. Since my levels don't get as high as they use to I just take one. I like to buy the fruit bowels with granola in them and eat them for breakfast. I will have dinner and an occasional snack. I still go outside the box and eat things I should not sometimes but in moderation. I know that I cannot eat too much bread or my levels skyrocket. I also was not able to give blood last month because my iron was too low. I just feel like my levels are really wacky.

I think 'moderation' isn't working very well for you, and I know that fruit with granola sprinkles would send me over the moon. The commonly recommended 'health' foods, are just not healthy for diabetics. Better for you to have bacon & eggs for breakfast than a bowlful of fruit with grains.

I was just going to say the same thing Shanny. I had to get up and go feed my kitty and when I came back you beat me to it.

The bread would spike me way too much too. brand19922006, I think you could do a lot to lower you bg by getting your carb count way down. Its the carbs that are raising your bg, the highs and then extreme lows maybe the reason for the dizziness. Check out the Diet Doctor site for ideas of good things to eat.

Fruit bowels...

LOL

Sorry, folks but I really did LOL.

Sure glad I don't have "fruit bowels" any more, though.

Are you serious?! I thought I was doing good because I was eating fruit in the morning with granola! I need to do some serious research! Thanks. Please don't laugh at me! I feel bad. I thought I was doing my thing with my morning fruit.
