I checked Walmart, but I had to go to a real pharmacy to find them.

Our Walmart carries them in the pharmacy section. Sometimes they can be found in the supplement section

They might have been sold out. The two Walmarts that are near me have them in the over-the-counter section, where the strips and lancets are, but sometimes they're out. It's the Relion brand, the same people who make the meters.

You can also find different brands on Amazon.com. I don't know if that's true in the UK or Canada, but I've seen them on the US site.

In my walmart they are right next to the a1c test kits...

Yup, always find them near the glucose tabs and other T1 supplies as they were originally intended mainly for T1s worried about ketoacidosis.
