I've been dealing with a frozen shoulder flareup since January. I think I'm making progress, gaining a bit of range of motion when lifting my left arm and then wham, it cramps up for days, hurts like hell and I start over.

The advice to avoid arm rests is really good. I find that anything which keeps my shoulder raised and out of the "low and back" position makes it worse. Heating/cold packs feel nice but doesn't make much of a difference for me...

Through it all I've still kept up weight lifting on that side, though I can't raise my arm above my shoulder. It doesn't seem to hurt it as long as I go slow and don't push it.
