Anyone know what meter he is currently recommending?

Dunno. Used to be the Accu-chek Aviva.

I don't believe he's currently recommending ANY. Roche fairly recently changed their strips to the Aviva Plus, and the results are not as accurate or consistent as the previous ones. Dr. B has been trying to work with Roche, and even has some of his patients and others collecting data for the company. He's spoken about this on several recent teleconferences.

moon and donnaB like this.

If it'll give me lower numbers, I'll use whichever one he recommends. It really seems like doctors do have preferences, and it also seems like it's whichever ones they get free from the companies they work with. Not saying Dr. B's the same way though. I have one doctor that loves Freestyles (which I think are terrible), and another who swears by the Accu-Chek. Me personally? I just wish they'd make one darn meter that we could prove was always accurate!
