Default Progress!!

Finally!!!! I am sooo excited! I have seen progress the past day or so with LCHF + 1,500 mg. Metformin. I have 1 more week until I increase to 2,000 mg. but since I've been on it for three weeks now, combined with a continued LCHF diet, I'm actually seeing lower numbers and I am so excited!!! I was actually an 88 before dinner tonight, and after lunch today I only went to 136ish and a 134 after dinner. I haven't been this excited in months, about getting under control! Also, the past few days, my FBS has dropped substantially. It's gone from the neighborhood of 115-125 to around 100-105. I'm so excited I feel like screaming. Even though I was over 200 after breakfast (205, from what I remember recording), lunch and dinner were awesome numbers!

It is so frustrating to eat low carb and see high numbers. It is beyond aggravating. I am actually starting to see improvements with the addition of medicine. I just had to share it! I could actually see in the future, even staying around 85-110 at all times. Ahhh, I can hardly wait!!

Thanks. It's really hard to eat like you're supposed to and still see 170-185 on your meter after you eat. It's so discouraging.

I've been following your posts and have seen you struggling. So, congratulations on that front. Body metabolism is something very complex and not really all that well understood. IMO wait for a while on the 1500 mg met and don't be in a rush to increase that. Your ultimate aim should be getting rid of it. Patience has it's rewards.

Woo hoo!! I am so excited. I have seen a few more drops the past two days after eating certain foods that would make me go to 180-190. Yesterday, after lunch, dinner, and fasting were all great. Even though I've had spikes in there, I am still seeing definite progress. Also, I just had a snack at work and usually, I go to 170-180 from it, even if I change the snack up a bit. I had it today and only went to 130. While I hate the spikes I've had, I love seeing lower numbers. I have been on met. for 4 1/2 weeks now, hoping it means that it's working full force (been on 2,000 only for 1 week.) It seems like it's coming down, but it's really slow to come down in some spots with the met. << still hoping, with fingers crossed, that it's all going to be totally controlled someday soon, 24/7 >>

Thanks! I just ate lunch (standard LC fare) and didn't even hit 130! I'd eat the same lunch before & go to 160-170! I am so hopeful! I actually am dropping off my meter today. My endo. wants to see the high's I've been having here & there.
