Default Does anyone take Adrenal Support?

I'm thinking of taking some adrenal support for my emotional problems since all my tests came back "normal" and supposedly I do not have cortisol problems but obviously I have some kind of adrenal sluggish stuff.

Anyways I was just wondering if anyone takes any kind of adrenal support? Any suggestions on it? /any advice on it?

Do you feel your adrenals are slow, out of control. Different herbs for different things. A lack of Cortisol one would use Licorce root extract. Its a cortisol reuptake inhibitor. It will raise your BP after about 10 days so you have to go off and on this stuff

Over active adrenals can be calmed with GABA, Asheweghanda, Holy Basal

Raising your endorphins in your brain to make you feel better can be dome by using DLPA, have to build up with tis one it can cause anxiety if taken in large doses. Also along with the DLPA, Glycine is very calming on the brain, along with adding in 5 HTP which will help build Seritonin and melatonin.

I have so many symptoms of adrenal fatigue thought my dr. did a cortisol blood test and it was normal yet I feel so crazy and out of control and most of the symptoms I have are of that but yes they are also of reactive hypoglycemia. Today I was ripping off everyones head and now I've hurt those I love and and I say such awful mean things and I cuss like a wild crazy person and just the littlest of things can trigger me off. I want to take something and was looking at the supplements for adrenal support but I cannot take licorice as I already have high blood pressure. I did buy some B stress complex and cal/mag in hopes the mag can help settle me down too. I hate myself so much right now, my daughter is not speaking to me right, my other daughter and her daughter BOTH told me to stay out of their lives. yet I cannot get it through to my Dr. that I have a problem and something is wrong with me! I'm so tired of hearing its possibly bipolar 2, I don't know how to differenciate between bipolar 2, reactive hypoG and adrenal stuff and it seems my Dr. doesn't either. I was eating really good today and yet I still went off the deep end. I thought forsure that I was hypo but my BG was 114 even though I had not had much food but it could of been because I was still hungry but I don't know, I don't know anything anymore other then tears and fears that I see from the grandkids, fears from them when I go psycho on them and tears from me from hurting their feelings...I just want to move away from everyone and take my two dogs and go live alone so I don't hurt anyone anymore..
sorry I needed to vent, no need to reply but thanks for the reply to begin with.

By the sounds of that post you are either hypog or your norepinephrine levels are way to high compared to seritonin levels. Are you taking St Johns Wart or Raspberry ketone or other mood altering supplement. Both of those raise your norepinephrine levels. Think wellbutrin. Have you tried GABA in high doses yet.

I have not tried anything as of yet. The only meds I take are thyroid, a beta blocker for blood pressure, vitamin D3 4000 ius and working up to 5000, almost there.

I did start some whole food product called multicolor lightning, the cal/mag liquid supplement and the B-stress vitamin. So far of course I don't feel anything as its only been 2 days.

However today I am watching each bite that I eat to see if I can eliminate hypoG or blame it on that. Sometimes I think it is hunger.

Here is what happened today. I ate about 5:30 a turkey burger cooked in coconut oil and about half a cup of green beans and I plopped a gob of butter on them trying to get enough fats. This did me good until about 9 or so I noticed I was started to snap at high maintenance grandson age 6 who talks nonstop, literally.

I looked at his sweet innocent face and I knew I did NOT want to hurt his feelings like I did yesterday by snapping at him. I thought about what I ate and how long ago I ate and wondered if I was hungry but just not feeling it. I took my BG and it was 93. Being I didn't feel quite hungry yet I didn't eat but in about half an hour later I was feeling hungry and meaner!

I just kept my mouth shut and he went outside to play, whew!
I did eat and I tried one of these fat fast things with peanut butter and cream cheese.

It is not enough to fill me up for a meal of course but i'm trying to see how long it will hold me over till I have to eat an actual meal.
Right now I feel ok though but very tired, got up too early.

Grandpa is outside with the boy doing yard work so for now he is safe from me, LOL. I wont be seeing Dr. again for a couple weeks so in the meantime I have to just take lots and lots of notes and experiments on my own to try to figure out if it is foods or lack there of. My only concern is that I may have some carb with drawl to throw in the mix and skew my tests here...its going to be a long week because kids will be out of school the end of the month..
