I certainly felt it, I just didn't know I was feeling it at the time. Once I reduced my carb intake after diagnosis, I went through a period of mental clarity and more energy. At that point, I went from 299 down to the 170s-190s while just on Metformin ER 2000mg alone. My doc then prescribed me Glipizide 2.5mg, and I dropped to the 70s-110s and I REALLY felt that one. Headaches, mood swings, and just overall discomfort. It took about 2-3 weeks for that to stabilize. Now I can feel it whenever my numbers swing high. When I was having the unexplainable rise about 2 weeks ago (was related to time of month after all..), I felt a strange tightness with my body, like everything was swelling up, and my gums was starting to get inflamed. That occurs when numbers run up to 170s. Makes sense I believe, since your body is readjusting to a different environment each time. I don't think I've really experienced a low?
