Default My mother's blood sugar seems too high?

My mum's blood sugar was 6.1. She did have some food in the last three* hours- 2 slices of wholemeal bread (24.5g carbs, 2 eggs), a cracker (5g) and some paleo hummus with capsicum (about 9g). Would this be pre-diabetes levels or should she take a fasting blood glucose?
She said she was still feeling thirsty after a glass of water, so I tested her blood sugar.
At the moment she is trying to eat less carbohydrate to lose weight- probably has around 100g at the moment. Would this have any effect?

If I had ate 40 g of carbs my BG would spike up past 180 (10) and stay there for most of the day. 6.1 (109.8) after three hours seems pretty good to me. Try testing before she takes the first bite ,then after 1 hour then 2 hours. That's how I test for foods I can safely eat. It's called eating to your meter.

I've measured plenty of non-diabetic in-laws and then felt like you that maybe it was a "little high". I scared a few of them at first, now, no one believes what I say. That number is completely NORMAL.

Ahh okay. I have no idea what the numbers are for non-diabetics tbh lol.
