Default Went to the Dr. today...

...For my first A1C. It will be three months tomorrow since I have been diagnosed, although it feels like 3 years. So naturally I couldn't sleep last night and my morning number was relatively high.
I got there and they did a simple finger prick. Put the drop of blood on some little strip, much like I use in my BGM. They put that in the machine and 6 minutes later it spits out a number...
5.6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was really excited about that. Hope it continues. I am now going to update my signature.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers and help over these last couple months guys.
Joshua

Thanks a lot Shanny. I am pretty pleased with the results myself. My Dr. and his nurse keep telling me I am doing really well for only having it for a few months. I guess now I will believe them.

Thanks Richard. I was actually kinda nervous thinking it still might be elevated because it was needing to come down from such a high number. We were actually "taking bets" at the Dr.'s office as to what it was going to be. No one, not even myself, guessed THAT low.
But we were all pleasantly surprised.
