Great interview Richard! You express things clearly and completely, with a very 'human' voice. I am impressed.

What a great interview Richard! Haven't done a c-peptid since diagnosis but going by the amounts of insulin I use after 4 years, I'm still honeymooning. After reading that piece about you and the study you paticiapated in, I'm determined to do what I can to make it last for as long as possible.
Thank you for sharing your experiences, sincerely and from the bottom of my heart //Chatarina

Congratulations on that awesome interview, Richard. Thank you for the mention of the c-peptide as now I'm looking into asking the endo for my son's next appointment. I have mentioned it upon diagnosis but they said to wait for a few months. I'm going to persist as I want him to live a normal life with no diabetes-related complications.

I really don't understand the reason for waiting. That should be part of the initial testing for diabetes in a child. Good grief!

There is a company called Cebix that has developed an injectable form of C-peptide. It has been through human trials and was very successful. I hope it will be approved by the FDA in the years ahead.
