Default Pancreas problems

Newbie here, I saw information that had to do with pancreas problems being associated with diabetes...my question is, can issues with the pancreas not functioning properly lead to diabetes?

YES. Try googling that.

Beta cells produce insulin. Pancreatitis can destroy them.

Are you diabetic. Your body needs insulin to live. Without you will die. If your body cannot produce enough you will need to inject insulin.

My pancreas stopped producing insulin in 1945. I was diagnosed with diabetes later that year. I have used insulin injections and, later on, an insulin pump, for 65 years. I am very much alive and well.
