Default A1c improving with LCHF

A1c results today are .1 better than 2 months ago. My diet is pretty much exactly the same as it has been since the first of the year.

July 2nd '14 it was 5.8, today 5.7 with eAG improving from 120 to 117.

2 months ago I quit taking 80 mg statins daily and went to 40 mg which I take now. Soon I'll get my lipids tested and see where that puts my cholesterol.

I have heard that statins can elevate BG.

Good On Ya!!!

You may find your lipids rise over (roughly) the next 3 - 6 months or so. Typically, they will then go down. LDL may stay the same or rise, but this should be due to the particles enlarging and fluffing up (this is a Good Thing).

Great work, Nick!

Here is to continued success on BG and lipids. Can't wait until you get off the last 40 mgs.

Thanks! Finally my Relion Prime is becoming my most trusted meter. I feel the last 2 bottles of strips I got may be responsible for lower numbers I'm getting. This week I got a 97, 91,93 FBG. I think in only the last couple of months I've had a number under a hundred only 2-3 times.

I test at times comparing 3 different meter results and the Relion numbers are definitely becoming closer to what the other meters report. I'm convinced the lot of strips makes a big difference with this meter. I have also read that when researching meter accuracy.
