Hi, Sharlan. I have bad news...you won't get better that way. Sorry.

Good luck,

These foods don't seem to cause spikes because you're not testing when the spikes would occur... 1hr after first bite up to 2hrs.

If you get more strips and begin to test at these times, you will probably be horrified at what they are doing to your BG.

"I cannot give up my daily ...... " is a sure way to never get control of your blood sugar, especially if your daily whatever is a poor choice.

You need to begin testing after meals, and see first hand, the effect of your choices on your blood glucose.

Hi sharlan and Welcome!

If your dr/ins/endo tell you not to test more than once a day and won't provide you with enough strips to "eat to your meter", go to WalMart and pick up a Relion Prime meter and strips for it there. The meter is around $20 and strips are around $9 for 50 strips. Many people here use it. I think Target has an inexpensive meter as does Walgreens. Lots of testing is the only way to tame this beast!!

Just to make more fun grape fruit and Met do NOT mix. grape fruit causes the effect of met to be unpredictable. read the small print in the Met papers.

cudose to you.
