It would be an excellent goal. (In fact, they are normal, non-diabetic levels.)

With a very small percentage of exception, following the advice on this forum, is a sure bet. I would just be wary of opinion, my own included, unless I had pretty good evidence I was not an exception.

Be very detailed about testing very specific "target" meals. Say, test before breakfast one day, record what you eat, and then do the 1-hour and 2-hour tests. Do the same for a specific lunch the next day, and a specific dinner the third day. That way, you can budget your strips to learn the maximum about what each specific food or meal does to your blood glucose. (Maybe buy the cheap WalMart meter and strips to do all the scientific testing outside your physician's schedule?)

i tried to order a relion prime metre and the test strips
from walmart but they wont send the strips
and amazon wanted way more for the strips
so i didnt try to see if they (amazon) will send them by mail
is there another place?

Do you have Walgreens in Canada? Maybe other Canadians will chime in on other inexpensive spots? The manufacturers rob us with cheap or free meters and then charge an arm and a leg for the strips. The numbers do matter, but more so the trends or patterns.

Do you have Target in Canada? They have an inexpensive meter and strips too. Any large chain drug stores there would probably have their own house brands too.

Order a true result meter off of Amazon. Can get 250 strips for about $38 dollars.

I got one of these when I started it works well and the strips can be ordered in quantities up to 500! They come very fast! the cost per strip is between 15 cents and 16 cents....

Seems to be a good choice
