Indeed we are. I'm finding that a little protein snack before I go to bed changes things for the better. At least for now. Wouldn't surprise me if that changed sometime down the line.

118. Still a little high. BUT, today is my birthday, and I'm eating "real" food tonight! SO, tomorrow will be high, but I don't care. I only do this about 4 times a year, or is it 5? Yep, 5. Four birthdays and Christmas. I guess that isn't too bad if I stay within at about 40-60 carbs a day all other 360 days a year .

Happy Birthday!!! 118 ain't too bad. Like yourself I will, every now and then, have a wonderful meal whose quantity and variety is not doing my BGs any good but it's nice and I probably I enjoy it that much more as I don't make a habit of it.

I suspect many of us (Type 1 or Type 2) are the same.

Have a nice birthday!

Smile Blessings Forever!

112.00 mg/dL.

@ 4:42am

After about 5 hours sleep. Cut part of the lawn with the walking lawn mower, haven't done that for about 5 years since my wife passed. I only did about a 1/5th as it is a pretty big lawn and it was quite hot, but at least I am beginning to be more active.

I was 72 md/dl this morning - On Tuesday I couldn't get my BGs down as they were staying in or around the 250-325 range. But as of Wednesday morning it's been the exact opposite where my BGs have stayed under 126 for most of the day.
You know I've been living with Type 1 for 52 years and this is just another reminder that diabetes is not a static condition - to this day it continues to surprise me and baffle me. If it's anything like previous experiences in the next couple of days I'll have problems keeping my BGs down and then I'll swing in to another few days where I can seem to do no wrong.
Oh well, keeps things interesting!
