I've been running just a touch high in the morning - usually in the 150s this week - should be easy enough to get it down a little bit.

Fortunately I can avoid any frustration from this. All I have to do is remember the time about 15-20 years ago where I was running consistently in the 300s every morning. This was before I made a significant change in eating habits and eating times.

Now my BGS are lower in the morning (still like it to be just a shade lower) and I've reduced my insulin by about 50 percent from 15-20 years ago.

It was 149 this morning, and I have cut my readings markedly, since I joined this forum.

Today, 12 Jul 18 - 117. I was sick yesterday, and when I'm sick, the thought of eating proteins and fats makes my stomach do flip flops. I had a vegetable soup and ate about 8 crackers. I feel so much better today

From what I have been reading, my case of Diabetes is still very very mild.
I do take Metformin twice a day. Really have done zero other than the Metformin. I eat what I want. Two years now good to go. When I had my meter I only used it about 10 times fasting was always 148 to 153 area which is not bad from what I read. I gave up the meter and gave it to the Dr secretary and told her give it to someone else. I’ve been on this site before. I’m not in complete denial or I would not be here but I kinda don’t care a lot but I think that damage does not occur right away like some say. It is hard to say I’m a diabetic but mild Diabetes is kinda a touch. Last 2 A1C 7.0 and 7.1 which is the goal of true diabetics anyway. I refer to what I have as a touch of high sugar. No insulin just Metformin trice a day.
