I did something really stupid last night - went crazy with a couple of food items I should not have eaten - but it was sooooo good! Last night before I went to bed I was at a whopping 360 - I think the first words out of my mouth were - can't repeat it - make a truck driver blush.
Anyway I gave myself an extra 12 units of humulog to take care of it on top of my Lantus. Had a terrible sleep but I was at 150 this morning - so I probably could have taken 14 units last night but hopefully there won't be a next time - at least any time soon.
Thought it important to point out that even a Type 1 who has been living with the condition for 52 years screws up from time to time.

I gave up the meter and gave it to the Dr secretary and told her give it to someone else. Iíve been on this site before. Iím not in complete denial or I would not be here but I kinda donít care a lot but I think that damage does not occur right away like some say. It is hard to say Iím a diabetic but mild Diabetes is kinda a touch. Last 2 A1C 7.0 and 7.1 which is the goal of true diabetics anyway. I refer to what I have as a touch of high sugar. No insulin just Metformin trice a day.
You need to find some better reading material.

My FBG yesterday afternoon was 93. Last night of graveyard is over this morning, go back on days Monday.

It was about 150 again this morning, I am very shy about going below 100, so I am groping about, to see what is best for me.
Sometimes, I exercise like a madman, and it has blown up in my face before. Needless to say, I am over-cautious at times.

Very short nap today. It was about 3 hours after I got up that I thought about testing. A 100 BG, blood ketones were 1.8

170 this AM - plus a scratchy throat, ear ache, and runny nose. Happy middle of July.

110 this morning
It's my first test with my new insurance mandated Walgreens TrueMetrix meter
I see I can order a docking pad and cable for it as well as a glucose control solution--none of which are available from Walgreens. I've never used either, but I think I'll try them.
