246. This morning I actually felt like my BS was high. I could actually feel it, like I used to. I'm assuming that's a good sign...

I had a 94 FBG this afternoon when I got up, blood ketones 1.4. When I got home from work this morning 118 BG and blood ketones were 1.9. Ate at 2 PM yesterday before work and only had a cup of BPC at work for calories last night.

My wake up BS was 199 at 7:37 AM, subsequently reduced to 105, by 9:49 AM.
I am much more aggressive in using Novolog now-a-days, than I was before to augment Lantus. And NL is what I used to lower the BS.

Good move to minimize the time above higher damaging BG levels. Maybe with some tweaking of basal and diet you can gain some more stability and only require passive adjustments.

125 this morning
I went to see my doctor yesterday and A1c was 6.0
Just a month ago I had a work physical and it was 5.6
Could it be a difference in labs?
Edited to add my dr was not concerned as he had lowered my Metformin dosage and most of his patients are higher than that.
Also, came clean about discontinuing statins--he didn't seem concerned

etherea, there could be a difference in labs, though that's a higher variance than I would expect.

But I might be more concerned that my doctor was not concerned about the A1c rise to 6.0. You're well within the guidelines he likely follows for diabetes management. But I think you know how many of us here feel about those guidelines -- they're a bit, umm, generous.

My doctor is deliriously happy that I keep my BGs under 180 (the "guidelines") at all times. Me, I aim for (much) lower than that because I know 180 is dangerous territory for my body. So I'll keep working to get to the 5 Percent Club even though my doctor doesn't think I have to.

168 - not bad but then I went to work and took it again when I got here and it was 228. What would cause it to go up? I haven't eaten anything yet. So strange!
