You're right, I know just with my situation, if my insurance company had not made us all do physicals, I would probably be eating horrible and ended up with a stroke or something. As annoying as I find my insurance company, I am grateful they made us do this. Even though I'm struggling to get good numbers. I feel it was a sign that I needed to get serious. That being said, I also feel like most people who are newly diagnosed go through the stages of grief in a way. Angry, denial, I know I did.

Things slowed down significantly yesterday as part of the outage reached a point of less interaction on my part, so I got to come home a little after midnight. I surprisingly got 6-7 hours of "off and on" sleep. I get tonight off, so maybe can catch up a little more.

FBG this morning was 64.

I think so. It's worth a try anyway. My BS will go up if I don't eat something in the morning. I'm not hungry in the morning, but I have much better results if I eat something.

115 this morning
I'm on vacation, visiting my son. Walking a lot and sleeping well. We always stay in a motel when we visit. We got a room with a kitchen so there are some good choices being made.

Yesterday morning I ate some cheese, no change , still rising BS. This morning I ate some peanut butter, Instead of rising 30 - 35 points, it rose 20 point, but still rising BS levels. Do I need to talk to my Dr about changing when I take my meds or can I just do that. My night time reading are fine and I don't want to mess them up but I'm thinking maybe I can try to take my metforim at bedtime instead of dinner. IDK, what do you guys think?

An 88 this morning after first full night off, go back tonight for another stretch of graveyards.
@Snowynight708, you shouldn't need to talk to your doctor about the timing of when you take your met, just try it and see.

My metformin just says morning and night--I don't think it matters if it's dinner or bedtime. BTW I keep low carb breakfast sausage in the freezer for those mornings I don't want to cook. I just throw some in the microwave.
