170 again today. Even after eating something first thing in the AM, I'm still experiencing the dawn phenomenon. Next I'm going to try to change when I take my meds from dinner to bedtime and increase the barbarine at that time as well. Any suggestions for different strategies, please feel free to share! Thanks!!

Snowy, I know exactly what you mean. I was diagnosed last May 2017 with a BG of 208 and an A1C of 10.5. A year later, my A1C is 5.6. I recently had more blood work done, and my A1C dropped to 5.3!

I didn't think I was going to be able to do this. It was very hard for me to lay off the rice and bread, but I use my Dad as my inspiration because I don't want to end up like him. He was a double amputee and had renal failure. It was a slow and agonizing death . I've also seen the benefits of watching your T2 through my Mom. Even though she followed ADA guidelines, she never suffered diabetic complications.

I also credit this wonderful forum. When I first joined, I was frantic, and everyone here welcomed me and answered all my questions. I love it here. This community is my support, and I pray for everyone on this forum. You can do this! We're here for you .
