97, my reward for eating more carbs than normal yesterday. My 30 day average is 104 and yesterday I did eat 2 large servings of potato salad and maybe a TBSP of whole cranberry sauce with turkey and a few other veggies.

I do eat VLC and am in ketosis most all the time. My weight is up a lb or so today from the glycogen load of the carbs, but BG down. I would have been accused of trolling a couple of years ago for reporting this. But I've since learned there is more to the puzzle than the lower the carbs eaten, the lower the BG readings. It doesn't work that way with me, never has.

Well, you know, once you are at a normal weight and eat some carbs, you gain water weight fairly easily. It's a given because carbs help to hold water. That's why everybody loses a bunch of pounds when they first cut off the carbs.

You aren't there maybe yet, but at some point, you may have to decide between slightly higher carbs or water retention because that is a problem for older people. They see a lot of elderly in the ER for dehydration, so do keep an eye on that. My BIL said he had zero warning that he was dehydrated (wasn't thirsty).

103 this morning . and, after popcorn again....lowest this week, even though other mornings have been almost as low. I wish I could have popcorn every night and have it this low, although I DO know better

6.7 this morning. Still too high but I'm slowly losing weight again so there's that.

120, which is high for me....but expected. I had a special day yesterday, and treated myself to a night out with (steak), a BIG fluffy potato (with lots of butter) and two hot rolls with honey butter! YUM! and, came home and ate popcorn while watching a Paul McCartney concert!
So, I'll take the big number today .

And, I'm back to being good today. This is only the 3rd time I've done this since dx in September, so I won't beat myself up too badly

6 this morning. I dont mind not being lower. I'm struggling with congestive cardiac failure at the moment and still 2 weeks before I can see my cardiologist. Diabetes will be the least of my worries if I cant get this under control.

I'd be over the moon if I could stay as low as that and still eat carbs. I cant have any, without serious consequences.
