Insulin is what I would consider active adjustment; and passive has been a poor tool for me, since I wait for it to go lower, and nothing happens.

Active measures has its own set of landmines, and I have stepped on a few of them; by that I mean extreme crashes, and it is a real tightrope.
No, I think I meant that getting the blood sugar more stable, requiring less or insulin for correction and just normal compensation for carbs.

I say I think, because I just got up and haven't reread the post that prompted my comment.

BG this morning when I got home from work was 83. FBG this afternoon 69.

Please accept my apologies, it isn't that important whatever you meant. I can be anal, and I don't know why I do that; I mean being anal, and asking for needless clarifications. A lot of the time it does not help anyway, and all I do is spin my wheels.

No apology necessary, clarification is always good. I've a bad habit of not asking enough.

Your adrenal system may be getting nudged by the caffeine or it maybe not eating making your body say if your not going to eat and give me a little energy boost, I'll do it for you.

OK experiment #2.
Blood sugar this morning was a nice 100 @4:50am; I was all smiles. I wanted to see if I can replicate yesterdays... so I had three cups of coffee(each were 12 ounces) but with whole milk; I ran out of heavy cream.

9:26 am and my number is now 117. I am trying to get a good representation of blood glucose for at least a 12+ hour fast. I am having my lipid test on Friday. Normally, I always have at least black coffee; no heavy cream; in the morning before my blood draw with the last cup being at least 2-3 hours before the draw.

Tomorrow I will try it without any coffee just water.... ugh... not looking forward to it. If my number rises then I will have to assume its because I did not eat anything. Will let you all know what happens.

Hi, every time I check, mines always high 140’s. I don’t bother checking anymore because it’s always that number. I read if A1C goes under 7, Metformin can be stopped. My last was 6.7, wonder wht the Dr said keep taking it? Next appointment Oct 11, 2018. I don’t even know if he will do a blood test or not. There is just to much contradictory things said on the web people give up caring.

My BG was 83 when I got home from work this morning and FBG this afternoon is 73.

Ratter51, this reminded me of you. Miracle Cat Despite the "evidence" you still want to play the longshot. I guess we all have our dreams. Don't bet on your your doc being Super Vet.
