132 (7.3) this am. Kind of a rainy day here in NYS, haven't been on the forums in a while and thought I'd check in. Still trying to keep my numbers low.

114. It will be higher tomorrow though because I seem to be on the endless zigzag. Going to try getting some ginger to see if that helps with some of this belly distress I'm getting from this med when what I really should be doing is making an appointment with the gastroenterologist to make sure a new problem hasn't arisen... The endless cycle...

Kyteflyer, sorry the NoSalt option won't work for you. It's a real challenge to figure out what to do with all of our medical issues!

128 today , and I ate well yesterday. Had a rough night last night with a stomach ache that kept me up after only 3 hours sleep. I've heard that stress will make the BGS go up. Would this do it? This is very high for me (except one or two...the other last week after a big carb day).

A 104 when I got up this evening. Blood ketones were at 0.3 so not too bad.

121 this a.m.

Sholleman, I personally don't think random stress has that much effect on your blood sugar. However, any stress that actually impacts your body probably does - think illness, overexercising, death in the immediate family have all been known to cause BG to go haywire in various people. For me though, it's just illness or failure to figure out how many grams of carbs are in something for my novolog shot.

That'll do it. My gut gripey couple of weeks, plus a chest infection prior to that, send my BGL all over the shop. Now that its all settling, back to normal.

Oops forgot to say, 5.6 this morning

128.

Lots of stress right now. Family member in ICU. Typically, I tend to eat carbs when anxious, but I guess I retrained my brain because that has not been a problem these last few days.
