Last night was 105--I resisted all the candy and sweets that were floating around the office

Last 7 days it’s at least been consistent. 144, 138, 140, 136, 142, 140, 138. I start my 2 Metformin dose (1,000 mg) tomorrow. Being patient and working at this experience one day at a time.

I went to see James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt in concert last night! Wow! They were amazing!
I hope y'all aren't like the young girl in my office who asked, "Who's James Taylor?"

A 134 this morning. No retest, probably right. Supper last night was baked salmon, green beans, last of the retrograded potatoes. Fixed as creamed potatoes.with a table spoon of butter, 8 tablespoons of HWC, two teaspoons potato starch, salt, pepper, and sour cream then overheated them in the microwave. Had a quarted cup of blueberries and the last slice of low carb key lime pie. Really shouldn't have had anything else, but had a few mixed nuts before bed. Didn't figure out the macros, but although low carb, still definitely too many carbs.

For the last few years we have been going to see James Taylor's 4th of July concert at Tanglewood; near Stockbridge Ma. Amazing concert; on top of that he is neighbors with the owners of the farm where we go just about yearly with our horses to a carriage driving event. The carriage driving event moved from June to August this year; but we will be in Germany at that time attending a "traditional drive" this is also a carriage drive through neighboring towns; not necessarily in costume but very nicely dressed.

Glad that you enjoyed.
best,

That sounds like great fun! Horses and music! My brother is a farrier. In fact he's in the International Horseshoeing Hall of Fame!

I usually eat a few salted almonds or mixed nuts for the salty, crunchy craving. I'm not so good at sweet ideas, but there are some recipe suggestions in the recipe forum. Also, there's a thread for that https://www.diabetesforum.com/diabet...eet-tooth.html
