FBG was 140 this morning, same as ussual, BUT went to doctors this morning and A1C was 5.9. 2 months ago it was 7.0. A month before that it was 7.8. I do not know what the number was before that, but even higher.

vicky3vicky, you're actually doing pretty well. Since A1c measures a protein that can exist for three months, moving your A1c down more than a point indicates your average blood sugar levels are lower than the 5.9 would indicate. You're doing nicely!

Thanks for the encouragement! But why is my FBG so high, even higher than it was a month ago? almost always my testing 2 hours after my meal are lower than my FBG.

There is no simple answer to that. The body's glucose metabolism system is complex as there are various functions that make up the system and they all interact with differing success in diabetics.
