Can I maintain a A1C in the 5% range if my morning BG is over 120?

FBG 270. Hubby made his macaroni salad yesterday. I could not sleep last night and I couldn't resist that 3 a.m. bowlful. I do it to myself...

I do. Morning BG isn't always over 120, but often enough. If the rest of your fasting readings are lower, you should be able to hold a 5.x A1c.

98 this morning. I've been ranging between 95 and 110 fasting, but that's what the CGM says. When I compare with my meter (rarely for fasting), my meter is always a bit lower.

126 this AM. I guess it's a good thing that I stay in the 120's and sometimes lower.
