I was at 80 this AM!!!!! Can you believe it? Now to see if it was a fluke/timing thing or if I'm on a downward trend.

Wow, how do you do this? I fight with this everyday high blood sugar when I wake up then I just choose not to eat to late afternoon to allow my numbers to go down but it is really hard. Also if I drink water with baking soda it really pushes my number down really quickly. Woke up this morning at 119 much better than the past few days of 140's but I am about to mix 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda in 24 oz of water

Eating keto, exercise, and remaining pancreatic function.

It helps that breakfast and lunch for me are pretty much the same meal most days, so there rarely are surprises with how many grams of protein/fat/carbs I've taken in for those two meals. I still fiddle with when (and what) to eat at night; my best results have come with eating a little fat and protein (cheese, pork rinds with sour cream, etc.) no later than 8 pm. Works for me (most of the time).

I consider A1c more a measure of overall blood glucose control than multiple finger sticks. I know my morning FBG is my highest reading (unless I'm not feeling well or I've eaten something I know would push me over that) so I'm doing under that the majority of that time. So far this has worked out for me.

Not eating will sometimes make your numbers go up.

Have fun, ethera. I've been on a liquid diet once, the day before I had my hysterectomy. Not fun. But, I think the prep was worse than the procedure itself.
