A 103 this morning but it wasn't fasting. It was after a little excitement and half of my coffee when I thought about it.

After BH waking me up at 4:15 hollering something about the dog barking and someone driving around my shop with a trailer. Still not awake well, I jumped up, put some pants on, and about the time I grabbed a gun to run outside, I hear "Never mind, its the agri teacher coming to pick up the kids pigs".

Thanks for cluing Nana and Pawpaw in on that little bit of info in advance.

98, funny how my FBG levels don't seem to correlate to my eating. Maybe they do, I'm just not smart enough to interpret the results.

94, I'm feeling my insulin resistance may be recovering noticeably. There are probably many factors involved. I'm still taking metformin 500mg X 2 per day. I'm eating smaller amounts of food, intermittently fasting, and keeping active. Generally I'm in ketosis and keep my intake of carbs in the range of 30g per day.

Yesterday was our state pioneer day holiday and we had a BBQ dinner. I ate 3 servings of macaroni shrimp salad, some cantaloupe, strawberries with HWC in addition to my LC fare. I expected my FBG to be in the range of 110-120, paying the price for the heavy carb load last night. I was very pleasantly surprised. I will not start introducing carby food however.

118 (6.6) this morning, FBG has slowly been coming down lately as I stay home recovering from knee surgery. Not eating out is really helping. Have also lost a bit of weight, which is good. And nice cool weather this summer, very pleasant for recovery.

109, no carby food yesterday. I ate pretty much the same as previous days with one exception. I ate less than 2 Tbs of peanut butter after having a glass of Merlot. Previous days it was sharp cheddar. Could be that, maybe not.
