113 this morning, a nice bounce back after yesterdays higher reading. The first time in a while where a self inflicted high one day was followed by a significantly lower number the next. It has been taking me several days to get back down.

I think I have an infection in my thumb, and my left hand is almost unusable: stiff, hurting- think it's arthritis, but first time like this....
Would this cause high BS?

Pain and inflammation can cause high numbers. It sounds as if you need to get that checked out!

yup. I've been soaking my hand in warm Epsom salt water, and the hand is much better; thumb still swollen in the joint, so I'm going to get it checked.
