Congrats on the retirement, alamogirl! My wife retired last year and there was a staggering amount of paper involved. A few decisions you only get to make once, too. But you'll get through it -- everyone does -- and you'll be happier on the other side. Just keep plugging away at it! The stress will subside.

Thank you for the congrats and words of encouragement. It means a lot!

OMG...Medicare. That's another hump...LOL! I turn 65 next Sep 2022.

Well, my BG for today, 13 Aug 21, was 150. I took it again 5 min later, and it remained the same.

I have contractors working in my home. I am renovating my master RR. That alone is stressful. My anxiety is sky-high because of all chaos, and I couldn't sleep last night, so I'm feeling like this 🙃. I submitted one of my retirement papers. I have to do it in steps 🙄.

Have a great weekend everyone.

It will all be worth it when its over. Well at least you shouldn't be stressed over worrying with Medicare until June next year (3 months each side of birth month).

129 this morning

Congrats, alamogirl! I retired at the end of last year and there were soooo many hoops to jump through! And yes, stress is very bad for your blood sugar😢

FBG 116 this morning, blood ketones 0.3. Only a cup of black coffee this morning before going to have a pint of blood pulled. Got back home to a 126 BG but ketones were up to a 0.7. Time for a cup of bullet proof coffee.

My FBG since August 25 has been between 95 and 110, twice in the 90s and once at 110. I've been purposefully trying to drop some of the carbs I've allowed myself to add into my diet. Now if I can just make myself put a little more effort on intentional exercise.

111 yesterday, 114 this morning. Too much idle time. Friday was researching catfishing techniques after ordering a couple of specialized rods and reels, so maybe that time will pay future benefits. Yesterday was watching football from 11 AM to 1 AM, mentally beneficial, physically not so much.

A 115 this morning. Went to bed early last night, 8 PM. Only had 1 fish stick and and a bite of another one for supper. No appetite, chills, and a fever. Woke up at 3 feeling better, took more zinc and elderberry and watching bike races on TV. Even felt like a cup of BP coffee.
