Default Need "orthopedic" shoes/slippers

My father has diabetic problem and have some foot issues, Doctor recommended him to wear indoor/outdoor shoes/slippers from now on. I am looking some good store to find some good shoes that will fit him, I wish you guys can help me??

I want some decent and comfortable shoes that he can wear without any harm and can walk outside easily.

I did an online search for "diabetic shoes" and all kinds of sites came up. The one I took a look at is Ebay. They have a very big selection and the prices are decent.

There also are local or regional shoe stores that specialize in "hard-to-fit" feet.

Emma, it really would help us if you could provide some details, like the state or province in which you live. That could help people seeing your posts come up with some local resources. chargette mentioned some national shoe sellers, which are a good option if you live far from a good-sized city.

I would be a bit careful about ordering shoes on-line for a diabetic, though, since no one is fitting the shoe to the foot before the sale and diabetics with severe neuropathy may not feel that the shoes they just got are fitting poorly. You might want to look for places with good return policies. Can your father check his own feet?

Another option might be to call your father's podiatrist or GP and see if that doctor knows of any good places.

mbuster and chargette like this.

Yes I am looking to deliver in North America, one of the online site I found is [link removed] and the one chargette mentioned (Ebay) is also good I heard.
But as you said be careful while ordering online as no one fit right. Its good idea for searching local shop or online vendor that we can at least claim if there is any issue.
By the way thanks for your suggestion.
