Oh yes. Bag Balm. Haven't used that in years, but it certainly is a good product.

You will definitely want to take a moment to watch the video below. It is the perfect place to start and well worth the 18 minutes to watch it.

I might be completely wrong but I've always felt that wearing socks and slippers plays a large role in keeping the skin on my feet moist and relatively free of cracks. The only time I get dry skin is during sandal and bare feet season in the summer.

How do you handle cracked heels? My feet keep drying out. They have did it so much that I have gotten a split from one of my cracks that make my foot hurt sometimes when I stay on it too long. What methods do you all use? All comments welcome. Thanks in advance to all.

I had a problem with that, I blamed it on getting older but after diagnosis and treatment getting my BG down the last crack healed and no new ones.

Same problem here. And cracked feet is one of those things we want to avoid - risk of infection.
After washing my feet in hot water & soap before bed, if I have any thick callus areas, I file them with a Ped Egg. Then I apply "Gold Bond For Diabetics." They make a great product for feet and hands.

If you do get cracks, I suggest not ignoring them; that can be costly. I use "Neosporin Ointment," then a band aid until it heals.

For me, I've gotten dry, cracked hands and fingers during colder than average winters all my life. I've always had slightly cracked heels all my life too.

I have gotten one of those metal file/scrapers that are made specifically for heels.

I scrape my heels really well, and sometimes those little rough spots on the bottom of my feet near my big toe and small toe. Then I take a shower.

After the shower and drying off, I rub in some Palmers Cocoa Butter. I've found if I rub in some Palmers to the bottom of my feet, then put some socks on before bed....and do that for a couple of weeks, the cracks heal up and I usually don't have to do it again for a few months.

Palmers works well for any dry skin or rough spots on skin. It also works for some skin spots and stretch marks. But for those you have to run in a bit for at least a year.

Another good one, someone else mentioned, is Eucerin. The only other OTC product I know of that works is Aveeno Skin Relief for Extra Dry Skin.
