One more day doesn't do much damage and could tell you what you want to know...

Cricket 03-14-2018 00:50

Dang it. I thought a made a decision.

Why the heck is my brain flip-flopping on this?

That is exactly what is going through my head right now.

So you have at least one other person who thinks going another day is a good idea. Decision made? :smile2:

If I don't give it one more day, to see if I start seeing improvement I will drive myself crazy wondering. I had planned for it to take time for the Metformin to leave my system, but I hadn't considered it could take time for the Berberine to build up. I have to try 24-48 more hours so that I can fully accept the results, either way.

One change I am planning for tomorrow is TRYING to put something in my tummy earlier, even if it is just my KETO coffee, maybe try to stop the jump in numbers before it even begins...

You're close -- don't walk away now. Rootin' for ya, Cricket...

smart to give it another day. Im curious. You mentioned your blood sugar was 72 earlier and were going to hold off on metformin until bedtime. I understand now you may hold off on metformin another day. How much would metformin lower your blood sugar if you did take metformin with glucose at 72 early in evening and with calculating your snack or dinner? Have you run lower than 70 especially at night?

Cricket 03-14-2018 01:49

Yes, I am going to try to hold off on the Metformin 24-48 more hours.

The 72 was actually about an hour after supper. I had eaten a salad with ground chuck on top, green olives, bacon bits and blue cheese dressing.

As a side note, I am one of those weird people who can't fast, not even intermittent fasting, or my numbers go higher instead of lower. I also have a cranky thyroid (on the hyper side) with growths on my thyroid and one on my pituitary gland.

I have checked my BS intermittently in the middle of the night to see if I might be experiencing lows but haven't seen any. Strangely enough, late afternoon and evenings always seem to be my best numbers, but that is also when I am more likely to actually eat a meal.

I thought you were going to give it 10 days?
