WOW! Respectfully, you seem to be dealing with a lot of anger.

1. Diabetes doesn't define me. It's one small part of my life.
2. I choose not to drink. I feel no need to explain that to anyone.
3. Life is way too short to get hung up on things.

mbuster and itissteve like this.

I am married 28 years but if I was looking for a partner and they did not accept 'no thank you' for something , then this is definitely not the person for me and this can help me weed out those people.

I don't want anyone judging me and I do not judge. If I make an offer to someone (drink, apple pie, etc) and they respectfully say no, I don't need to judge them or think anything but they dont want it. there is a ton of reasons and frankly if they choose not to tell me at that time, then its none of my business. same in reverse.

I would not want a diabetes dating site. I dont choose someone on what they can eat or not eat or what medication they take

and a diabetes site doesnt even cover understanding how I eat. There are diabetics who do NOTHING about it, there are diabetics who live a keto lifestyle (me), there are a whole of options in between.

If they dont understand me simply saying no thank you... Then I can strike that person off my list

Allowing hate to consume you does nothing but lead to more issues.

I remember going to Diabetes Camp for 2 - 3 weeks as a kid. Absolutely loved it - it was a regular camp except all the kids had diabetes and had to do their thing at the appropriate times.
I would always find girlfriends to spend my time with when at diabetes camp - (we were only 10 so no big deal) . But when I was off to Unversity in my early 20s every women with diabetes I had met seemed so unhealthy and mentally stressed out.
Don't know if I could handle a diabetes dating site but then this comes from someone who has been with the same women for the last 34 years so it's kind of an irrelevant question for me LOL

you met women with diabetes at college? around the late 1980's? im speaking of type 1. from 1956 to 1995 i knew of 3 folks with type 1 i met in person, 2 of them males at work in 1977 and one 9 yr old girl in grammar school in 1966. Even from 1996 to present, outside of the internet, never had anyone come out and say they have type 1 to me.

It was somewhat of a surprise but I had met more people with diabetes in University than any where else around the early 80's. It all started when I had a hypo at the cafeteria and was rushed to the University Hospital. A lot of people were standing around who witnessed it and the next day when I was at the same cafeteria someone asked me what had happened so I told them. I guess word got out pretty fast because I had people come up to me who I didn't know telling me they had diabetes.

Having said that, I wonder how they are doing now ...

HAHA. On another diabetes forum, someone asked if sex lowers blood sugar. I replied:

"I attended a political convention this weekend & I discussed this issue with some politicians in attendance - Bill Clinton & Reverend Jesse Jackson."
They explained that having sex with your wife only lowers blood sugar a few points, but sex with someone other than your wife has a significant effect on blood sugar, caused by the stress of cheating."
