Prior to going Keto it was just about every three months. Now... its basically when my prescriptions scripts need to be renewed which is basically after three sets of 90 day does are exhausted. For 2018, it would mean after December 23rd is when I would be required to see him in order for my physician to renew my scripts.

By the way, I did receive an email from the physicians office requesting me to come in so I can have my height and weight recorded. Seriously...? I do not think so....I am 58 years old and my is height the same as it was 42 years ago.
Now my weight will be lower than it was back in December 2017. But I am not going to go through for just that...

Best,
fjk2013

speaking of height, i used to go from 5'8" to 5'10, to 6.0' back to 5'8" back in the mid to late 1970's depending when i between 20 to 24 yrs old. If i was at home or going to work, i would be 5'8". If i was going on a date, it would be 5'10" and if i was a a disco or dancing it was 6'0". Why the difference? MY shoes and the occasion

I see the practice nurse at the health centre ..just twice a year.

She also adjusts my medication.

On each of the two occasions I've fallen to the ground (prolly diabetes-related) I've had emergency appointments with a physician ..but these were ✻exceptional✻ events.

Ajax99, do you test your blood glucose at home? If so, what have your numbers been around these 2 events?

LOL how they want you to come in & want you to think it's because they "care about you" when they really want to bill your insurer for a visit. I had to see my doctor only because she wouldn't renew my discount prescription for test strips. During the 3-minute visit, she asked me what I have for breakfast. I told her, "Sometimes an apple & some cottage cheese." She said "That's good." Then, on the bill, it had a $200.00 charge for "NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING!" I'm the one who gave HER nutritional counseling when she asked ME what the carb difference was between regular soy milk & unsweetened.

I subtracted the $200.00 from the bill & they've been sending me bills for that amount for the past three years.

Height & weight? Ask him if you should have your dentist brush your teeth for you.

Maybe your practice nurse needs to quit practicing and start nursing. That is converted into an average daily BG of 8.6 mmol/L (154 mg/dL). Damage can occur above 7.8 mmol/L. What medications are you taking that she is adjusting?

I'm just starting out with this Doctor journey. I've been going every 3 months. Next appt is in Nov. My BS were 400 - 600 when I started and are down to 150 - 300. Improvement yes but not at a healthy BS yet. I hope to get there soon.

If your metformin is not the extended release version, you should ask for it if the increased amount causes digestive issues. It actually helps to cut back on the carbs too.
