Hundreds have already cured their diabetes
ulf,

no one has been cured of diabetes. Reversed... maybe - remissions... possibly

but no one has been cured of diabetes where they can eat all the carbs they want and never have their blood sugar rise at all without medication.

I was 400BG and I am not on any medication and I am now between 75GB and 90BG at all times and I am NOT cured.

I can not eat bowls of pasta and have my BG not rise.

Thanks, ulf.

One thing I've learned about diabetes is that it is different for everyone and that there is not one treatment regimen that works for everyone. And even for the regimens that do work for many many people, sometimes folks need to ease into them. Perhaps someday Ratter51 will be ready to consider Fung, Mason, and Ramos. Until then, smaller steps...

I’m on hold for now. But again, if the Dr. says it’s well controlled and according to what I read, he’s right, as everything written says keep the A1C under 7 then that’s the goal and I happen to be within that goal. Right? I stopped using the glucose meter also. No point as I know what it’s going to say. And yes it’s still hard to believe I’m a “diabetic”. I’m am taking the Metformin everyday just in case. So it’s on hold and next Dr appointment is Feb. 12 and will see what he has to say. He might or might not give a bloodwork.

I’m not gonna see a specialist because they will make a big deal out of things. They will have me see a nutricionist, use a meter, lose weight, eat better etc etc. I already heard all that. I’m not going to eat and use that annoying meter three times a day. It would be a waste of his time and mine.

Saw Dr yesterday but he wants to do bloodwork in March , I guess that’s when my insurance will pay. He said the A1C is the most important number. My last A1C was from the nurse that comes to the house once a year and A1C was 6.4 and the Dr said yesterday I’m doing very well.his words. I’m eating anything and it’s still 6.4. Go figure. Even though the morning fasting is around 150
My A1C is still 6.4...... another go figure. If I had worse Diabetes the A1C would be high and it’s not. I forgot to ask him about stopping the Metformin. My mind goes blank in there. I don’t know what’s going on but he said the A1C is an average and that’s what they watch. Not sure why people are angry at me. I’m doing everything he says to do. So now I have to wait another month for the bloodwork test. I wanted it yesterday but he said in March.

Also the Dr. said at this time I don’t need a specialist. I’m barely diabetic.
