Rode 100 miles on the Big Dam Bridge 100 bike ride. Had several good rollers, and a long climb in the first half of the ride. Then had a pretty steep and long climb at mile 63. By mile 75 I was toast. Today I think I'll rest.

I finally got back into the walking routine at work. I lowered my step goal to 8,000 as it's a more reasonable goal for someone with a desk job.
I've met or exceeded my goal for 5 days this week and my numbers look better.
Fingers crossed!

Hardly nothing this week. Had a short outage to help plan for Wednesday, got 12,629 steps and 94 floors that day. Had to leave work early Thursday due to stomach cramping, 3751 steps and 3 floors. Today was better with 10,874 steps and 8 floors. Tomorrow I'll get in a bike ride.

A 34.6 mile bike ride yesterday. I really struggled at first and it was a ride thru very flat river bottom cotton fields. I first thought I was just that weak from my stomach issues from Wednesday/Thursday, I was, but didn't think it was that bad. It didn't take long to work up a good sweat, and it was only 50 degrees. First time my riding buddy stopped to wait on me to catch up, he asked it I wanted to turn around and head back, Nah. Second time he stopped and waited for me to catch up, i was sweating profusely. He asked did I want him to go back and get his truck and pick me up, Nah. About mile 10 he was out of sight again and I was starting to regret my previous decisions. It was still hard to pedal and I was still not going anywhere near as fast as I normally ride. It finally dawned on me to stop and look at the bike. Well it wasn't all me, my back brakes were rubbing the rim on one side. They had built up with damp grass clippings that stuck to the tire from pushing the bikes down the edge of his rocky driveway out to the road and rolled the brake assembly to one side.

Back on the bike and rolling, I caught him by mile 12 just before where we were going to stop for a change in directions at an intersection and a short break. I'm glad I finally got things sorted out, there was no way I could have made it another 22 miles at the rate I was going. Lesson learned, don't wait so long to stop, get off, and have a good look when it feels like you're going uphill, against the wind, with two flats, and dragging an anchor.
