I did the figure 8 fitness dvd. I had to slow down a bit every once in a while, as I am 65 and not all that fit, but it is a super fun workout which is an aerobic core excercise program.

In my late 20's early 30's, BH taught an aerobics class. I worked out in the weight room 6 days a week. A friend that I worked out with thought aerobics was kind of sissy, so my wife invited us into a class. We figured we'd breeze right on through it. Before the end of the class, we knew that we had erred, it just about killed us trying to keep up, which we couldn't. Next day I asked if he wanted to go do aerobics first. "Hellll no" he said, and I didn't want to either.

A 37.6 mile bike ride, to Walmart and back, only needed a couple of small tubes of silicon to finish a project.

Had a weekend of exercise snorkeling for a couple of hours on both Saturday and Sunday - the water was warmer but still a bit cool. I stayed at about 8 - 10 feet of water most of the time and ran in to a rip tide more than once but no big deal - I was snorkeling.
The interesting thing I discovered however - in my 20s, 30s and 40s snorkeling was never a problem but now that I'm in my late 50s my left ear is really plugged and my right ear is sligthly plugged and it's driving me crazy. Next time I'm wearing ear plugs!

8451 steps 22 floors, too much time at the desk today. I should hit 10,000 steps before going to bed, I don't have to get to bed so early tonight.

I don't know what the weather has been like elsewhere, but here it has been much cooler than in recent years, but with the humidity, it has felt hotter than warmer years. I am hoping the cooler weather holds out or the humidity takes a tumble. I'm going to the Hotter'N Hell Hundred in Wichita Falls, Texas in a couple of weeks, for the one hundred mile bike ride. It's a BIG ride, I think the largest single day ride in the US. 3,372 people entered in the 100 mile ride so far, just the body heat at the starting line could be stifling.
