Inside ride on the trainer, 20 miles. Three nights of graveyard, if there is any riding, it will be inside on the trainer until this weekend.

10 mile ride inside and 15 mile ride outside today. It's tough outside in the heat, but I've got 2 weeks to get used to it before the 100 mile ride.

Yesterday 10,422 steps and 26 floors, today 10,439 steps and 54 floors.

I think I am losing 3 of my 7 off days before my vacation officially starts next week because of an unplanned need to shut down and clean one of our boilers. Well, on the bright side, its hot at work.

12,314 steps and 31 floors. Tomorrow is my Friday this week. I don't have to think I'm losing 3 of my off days next week anymore, I know it.

40 mile bike ride this morning. Won't ride the next 3 days unless it is inside on the trainer.

I did an hour line dancing practice for our cruise coming up Oct. 2. But Mbuster, how did your a1c from 8.8 to 5.4? I am on metformin, eat OMAD, excersise at lease an hour and a half a day, my meal is KETO, and use cinnamon, garlic, turmeric, ginger, etc. I have lost a little weight and am only 5 pounds from BMI of 25, and plan to get to a BMI of 22.5 to 23. I am dingthese things, plus so much more, and nothing seems to help. I am so frustrated.Do you have somewhere on this forum where you give your story, because I am inneed of inspiration.

I'm sure I've mentioned it in a few posts, will have to look and post a link later. I basically went from a SAD//ADA diet that had already eliminated sugars (cokes, cakes, pies, cookies, etc) to a glycemic index diet, to a pescatarian diet, to the keto diet. The first two did little as far as seeing a significant change. I actually weighed my food, even the individual things I would put in a salad, and figured the macronutrients. At first I was hitting like 5% carbs, 15% protein, and 80% fats. I'm a little more lax now don't weigh my foods and probably 5-10% carbs, 15-20% protein, and 70-75% fats. I started OMAD in September last year and was pretty strict as far as meals, with the exception on having a cup of bullet proof coffee when I wake up and another around noon or midnight, depending on what shift I was working, on off days just the one cup when I get up.

There are so many things that can affect BG numbers, stress, illness - even a tooth ache, the seasons - temperatures, adrenals and other hormones, etc. My BG runs higher in the hotter weather than the cooler weather, I think it is due to higher cortisol levels. IF you have an endo, it would be best to consult with them to get to the root cause. I got too hot hauling hay a couple of years ago and my BG shot up to a high of 176 that after noon and took a while for my fasting numbers to get back down below 100.

Even exercising is iffy, I may get a bigger drop from walking a mile than riding a bike 40 miles. I sometime wish I could wear a CGM for a while to see what my BG is doing, testing with finger sticks every 5 minutes just isn't practical.
